Creativity at Work

Tracy Boynton, Ph.D. brings the very best of her doctoral research into this 4-week series of workshops which have been especially designed for work groups who wish to expand their knowledge and abilities in the field of creative thinking. Electroencephalogram (EEG) data from Dr. Boynton's study showed that participants could learn to willfully enter and use ideas arising in the alpha/theta brain wave state, known as hypnagogia, in a relatively short time period. The results of pre/post assessments indicated statistically significant increases in both creative thinking and personal well-being as a result of participation.

Workshop Format: One 2-hour session each week for four weeks

Description: Work teams are requested to bring a list of work issues, problems, or questions to work with for each two hour session. Participants will learn how to willfully enter the hypnagogic state of consciousness. Creative solutions will abound as participants learn how to utilize the imagery they experience during this twilight state of consciousness. Creative thinking and well-being assessments will be given at the start of session one and again at the end of session four to provide definitive data on the levels of change that participants experience in these two areas.

"What I have learned in this program I will use mainly as a problem-solving tool that complements analytical analysis. I do think that it enables me to find more creative solutions."
